The Summer to Autumn Wardrobe Edit

So the prolonged heatwave is finally coming to an end and my favourite season is almost in reach! I’ve only just started dressing Summer-appropriate, but I don’t even care as I love Autumn! It truly is my favourite time of year. I love all of the tones outside and the fact that Halloween is on its way. The pumpkin and cinnamon flavoured everything, absolutely everywhere. I’m just completely excited to wear all those deep shades of green again. Honestly, I’m already eyeing up new scarfs to add to my collection, the ones that are the length of your entire body. Sweater weather is upon us and I just can’t wait!

However, right now, we seem to be in some strange transition between Summer and Autumn. One day it’s hot and stuffy, the next it’s cold and damp outside. I kind of like it though, it means I can wean myself away from my newly found love of not wearing tights. I seem to have gravitated towards midi lengths, bare legs, and neutral tones. For me, this transitional period is all about bringing back out my favourite hats and ankle boots, and slowly adding the layers one by one!

As you can see, I’m still loving the current animal print trend. I’ve been looking for a leopard print t-shirt for a while now, something plain and simple. I found this one in Primark for £5, an absolute steal! I then paired this with my black New Look Midi Button Up Skirt. This is one of my favourite items of clothing right now! It comes in multiple colours, including a very lovely khaki. I threw on most lived-in and adored Vagabond Grace ankle boots. I seriously LOVE Vagabond’s shoes, their sizing fits me so perfectly. They are a brand that I keep going back to, something I don’t mind splurging on because the quality really does match the price.

I wore this look for a trip to Digbeth Dining Club’s retro gaming night with friends. It’s one of my favourite places to go in Birmingham in an evening (seriously recommend). The skirt is long enough to keep your legs warm without having to commit to tights or leggings. After all, we only have a few weeks left of this in-between temperature, so may as well make the most of it, right? In fact, I’ve already started bringing out my biker jackets. It won’t be long until the knitwear is out to play! What do you think of this almost Autumn look? Leave me a comment below!
