From Day to Night with intu Merry Hill

Lighter evenings and thinner coats, Spring is officially here! One of my favourite things about this time of year is being blessed with those lighter evenings again. All the more reason to spend those hours after work out and about enjoying yourself. I know I’m going to be saying goodbye to my dressing gown evenings! Of course, this means preparing your everyday outfits for the occasional spontaneity. Finding that perfect in-between outfit to take you from work chic to social butterfly.

After feeling some seasonal woes this Winter, I was keen to kick-start my Spring with some new key pieces for my day-to-night wardrobe. I planned myself a little pick-me-up treat and headed over to intu Merry Hill Shopping Centre. As you may already know from my earlier posts, I LOVE intu Merry Hill for a shopping trip. With everything under one roof, and the new large Primark & Next stores open, the centre has so much to offer the shoppers of all interests.

As I always do, I went off hunting for some bargains and managed to pick up most of my goodies from the sales. It really is the dream of shopping in real life. Coupled with the fact you can actually try everything on to avoid wasting any money! To add a little side note here, how fancy are changing rooms these days? They’re all Instagram ready! To begin, I started my shopping trip at Topshop and picked up this silky little bell-sleeved beauty. Then I teamed this up with this lovely paper-bag style button-up skirt from Primark. A real everyday piece that I know I’ll get my wear out of!

Spring trends this year seem to be screaming safari shades and ice-cream pastels (and I did pick myself up a cute khaki jacket whilst in Topshop). However, I’m heading more for monochrome with a bold primary colour-pop. Think bright reds and royal blues, I can’t get enough of these colours right now! I even picked up these dreamy red trousers from New Look which will also go perfectly with my animal print shirt.

Predictably, I then picked up another pair of western style boots. It just wouldn’t be a me-outfit if I didn’t sneak in a western-inspired accessory or two. These gems were only Β£15 from River Island sale! Then to really take this outfit from day to night, I wanted to introduce a bright lip and a pop of colour. Firstly, I picked up this really cute ringed front red backpack from New Look. Suprisingly, for Β£11 the quality feels unreal, and just look at that metal detailing!

So then to finish off the look, I ran straight down to Debenhams. In addition to the huge selection of premium beauty brands that Debenhams already has to offer – now that we have a Kat Von D stand, I can’t resist the urge! I picked up a couple of the Studded Kiss lipsticks to try-out. Including this beautiful bold red which matches with the bag perfectly. In summary, intu Merry Hill has absolutely everything you could possibly need all under one roof. So after a successful shipping trip like mine, you can unwind at one of the many restaurants there too, a total winner!
